New Japan Radio JRC NJZ1286N 48 VDC Power Supply was designed to be used with JRC 8 watt and 10 watt BUCs. These power supplies are brand new because they have never been used and are still in the original (slightly battered) boxes.

In some cases the modems have the ability to provide DC power to the BUCs, but not all modems have the options to provide DC power over the IFL cable. Comtech L-Band modems provide it as an option at a cost of a little less than $600, but the modem must be taken apart and the power supply fitted into the chassis.

The New Japan Radio JRC NJZ1286N 48 VDC Power Supply is an external box that connects to the IF output of the modem and provides the power without needing to take apart the modem.

In the box is a short type N cable to connect from the modem to the NJZ1286N.

This type of external power supply with work with any manufacturer’s BUC that requires up to 150 watts of 48VDC power via the IFL cable.
