The Comtech EF Data UT-4505/X Up Converter is a high-performance 70 MHz to C-Band frequency converter designed for satellite communications applications. We have several used units available, and each unit is tested and guaranteed to be in excellent working condition.
The UT-4505/X combines high output capability, excellent spectral purity, frequency stability, and low phase noise, making it suitable for a wide range of professional satellite communication systems.

High Gain & Output Level
The UT-4505/X provides 35 dB of gain as standard and a minimum output level of +17 dBm at the 1 dB compression point. This high-gain architecture can accommodate longer cable runs to a high-power amplifier or compensate for signal losses associated with combining networks.
Low Phase Noise
The Comtech UT-4505/X features excellent phase-noise performance, making it well suited for demanding satellite communications systems. Its low close-in phase noise is particularly beneficial for low-bit-rate digital circuits and DAMA hub earth stations, where phase-noise performance can be important to overall system operation.
According to the manufacturer’s specifications, the converter’s phase-noise performance exceeds the applicable Intelsat phase-noise mask for IBS and IDR services by more than 9 dB.
